It is perfectly O.K. to give PayPal permission to let JVzoo access your account.

Affiliate Marketing Companies are having to do this now for them (and you) to
be compliant with PayPal's TOS. The main reason is for customer returns.

This makes the process of giving returns easier for you and JVZoo.

It also helps us by not getting banned from PayPal so easily.

Other companies like DigiResults are going this way as well.

Keep in mind that these companies will only be able to access your account
if you give them permission to refund a particular customers purchase, not
any personal data or random money withdraw.

    Hope this helps...

May I share my experience with JVzoo? I have my product listed and picked up many vendors (affiliates) wanting to sell my product. That seemed good at first, however, it turned out that I lost over $500.00 before I could stop those affiliate from robbing me poor.

Here's how they were able to do this:

JVzoo recommended not to allow any one you do not personally know or have done business with in the past (the issue is trust) to have instant commission status. JVzoo recommends delayed commission status to start out, but you will find that no one will sell for you if you do not grant instant commission status up front. So, since I do not have an affiliate mailing list of others that I have worked with in the past and trust, I had to grant some affiliates through JVzoo instant commission’s status upfront. Big mistake, one of these affiliates I got through JVzoo sold a lot of my product only to later (with in 30 day) have all his sells charged back. This resulted in the affiliate not refunding their part of the commission total $500, from JVzoo and since Pay pal does not care that this affiliate did not refund me, I paid the customers all back out of my own pocket. Pay pal wants to refund their customers, and I had no way to get the refund back from the affiliate since JVzoo informed me up front not to grant instant commission to unknown affiliates. There it is in a nutshell. If you do not have really, really, really trusted affiliates selling for you that you know will refund you back in the event the customer from Pay pal requests a refund for (fraud charge or just plain old refund).

Hope this helps other from being ripped off using this system that does not really protect you as the owner of a product, allowing affiliates to almost dig into your bank account and just take money out at will until they are discovered but too late money gone forever.

Thanks for posting this to help others.

I have had about 50 affiliate requests on JVZoo, nearly all have 0 or less than 10 sales. I have approved just 2 who had a good sales record! I would not approve others, no matter how much they claim to be honest, unless I got confirmation from a source I trust.

As you have experienced, it is an open game for scammers. The same applies with most affiliate systems making instant PayPal payments, like WSOPro etc, so don't think it is only a JVZoo problem, it is just that JVZoo is easier for affiliates to sign up.
