WOW - Just did a test run and worked fine.... Can't seem to pull an image larger than 1,000 PX wide so far, but still AWESOME...... What a great way to go after ShutterStock Images when you need one.

    Cheers for this one!

As with everything, things do disappear at times, but Surprisingly! ... :)
With some further digging/researching around & throughout the entire internet and web, lots more can be found here, there and everywhere... ;)

    Quick food for thought...

    Thanks inquisitor,
I haven't been in here for quite sometime and I see your still out doing yourself with quality shares.
I have a question, please excuse my ignorance on this but I don't get it, what's the difference between getting them from shutterstock via a hack and just getting them from someones page.?

If challenged on purchase you still cant prove you got them legally. How do shutterstock know if you purchased them legit or stole them via a hack of from someones site. I've heard stories of Getties images just sending a $10k fine for use of any of their images. I know they can hide code within an image and thus find it via a search but still don't get how they know you never purchased it in the first place.
Any feedback to enlighten me on this topic would be appreciated as I've wondered this for a while now :)

Simple. You have to sign up for an account with any of these image sites to download them in the first place.. They can then look at your 'purchase' history and know what you did or did not buy and download.

Thanks Slapster, that could be part of the answer, but you may not have used the email address that is attached to your website, or maybe it's not even under your name. There's got to be more to it than that.

Understand this.. this is just my opinion.. it took me a short time to ponder over it but it's just an idea, I have no real answer..

Any / all images, anything on the internet etc.. are simply a long strung together list of source code that is sent out as so much data down the electric cables.. that's how computers work.. Ever listened to the high pitched whirring sounds made on the telephone receiver when we used to send stuff by Fax and it printed out on a sheet of paper as images or text, similarly when you make a phone call, you press the numbers, they all have a different pitch, it's all to do with electronics, well, that is how data is transferred, it is hundreds of lines of code in a large block that will do one simple thing and another block of code to do another thing.. the code is then decoded and we see it on our monitors as an image, text or whatever.

My take on this is that there is some extra code imbedded within their images and graphics and it gets muted in some way when the image is paid for.

I imagine it's executed in much the same way as you make a purchase of an item in a shop that has a tag on it, when you walk through the door scanners, they don't detect anything, but if you steal it the scanners go off, well, they may be able to scan the internet for anything that is not legitimately bought.. maybe it sets off an alarm..

or maybe the image or graphic has the coding imbedded in it to go crying back to its mother, but is muted when it's legitimate. Just look at WP plugins and Themes, and what about our programs we get - we have crackers who can sort them out and make them usable..

Well, maybe one way around the issue is to import the picture / graphic into Photoshop and add or take away something, export it (as a Jpg.. or .PNG.. but make it something different than it was when it was imported) and then use SnagIt (or similar) to take a full sized snapshot of the image and export it yet again..

Surely, if my scenario is somewhere near, the image would not have any imbedded code.. and the image or graphic should be as sharp as the original..

    As I said, it's just a thought..

    Regards.. :)
