All of the tips in this thread, plus other tutorial tips one can get from other BH forums, could make for a good information product.
The question is, who would be the target market for such an information product? It couldn't be the gurus nor the WSO crowd!

Actually, chances are that your friend gets stuff from sites like this, rather than using the methods in this thread - much easier if it is already here! The thread title rather oversimplifies the matter - many of the bigger products are managed by people who understand how to protect them, and I suspect a lot of the stuff that appears has been bought by somebody somewhere and shared.

Buy them. While some products can be found, many products can't. These are usually bought by some kind soul that then shares them. Reality is that most better products nowadays have some sort of download protection, and that is the only way. With info products the buy and share still works, if it's software then they have the whole layer of licensing to protect them, and BHT needs to turn to crackers and nullers

My guess is that you won't.

Think of this. If you have a web account at Hostgator or similar, it has a web shared directory that the web server (e.g. apache, lightspeed etc) can access. Put files outside of that directory and it is not possible to access them using a browser. Other software on that site (eg.wishlist can get to it, and make a very temporary link to let it be downloaded) - but you are not going to find it thru a browser or Google. In fact it may not even be on their server - it could be anywhere in the cloud and the software might make a temporary link.

Better looking for somebody else that bought it and is willing to share
    Buy and return
    Group Buy....

With all these hacking techniques, how then do you protect your own products or site from being hacked? Does that mean there's no way to do that?

If you can't get protected despite all security measures, how do you then optimize this situation? Meaning, are there opportunities you can get from getting hacked? Silly question perhaps but I heard someone saying he is not so concerned of his products getting shared in torrent sites as it's free advertising for him.

    Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

It would be smart to use a VPN and probably a browser cookie cleaner like Click&clean after you are done.
